Thankfully, the Chattanooga homeschool scene is growing year after year. But it is hard to find the local homeschool days and discounts offered in the area. Here is an (ever-changing) list of local homeschool days, deals and events in Chattanooga and the surrounding areas. Come back often to see what’s coming up.
Rock City: Homeschool students are especially welcomed to Rock City during the annual homeschool days. Bring a letter of intent, attendance record or Homeschool ID card to the ticket desks. Then, you and your family members are off to enjoy a day of educational opportunities, adventure, and play.

Ruby Falls: Homeschool Days Cave Walk tickets are limited and available while supplies last and cannot be combined with other discounts. A ticket request form must be submitted at least five business days before your planned visit date.

High Point Climbing: Come in 10 am – 4 pm once a month, and Day Passes are 50% off. There’s no better time to come in for an adventure you will never forget. The gym offers a Kidzone with auto belays and shorter bouldering walls.

Walker Farm Pioneer Days: Journey back to the 1800s when life was much simpler—or was it? See for yourself what it was like for our ancestors as they carved out an existence in the wilderness. Experience the sights, the sounds, the smells, and the work that made up their everyday life. See demonstrations of such skills as wood tools, butter churning, apple cider press, corn shucking, corn husk doll making, and more.

Dollywood: At Dollywood, they celebrate the best of life as they light up the Smokies with rides, slides, music, food and laughter – day and night.

McKay’s: Head to the best used bookstore in Chattanooga (as far as homeschool resources go) for a day full of fun. Think scavenger hunts, painting and lots of books and toys.

The Lost Sea Adventure: Every Monday, August through May, bring your home school students to the Lost Sea, regardless of the number in your group, and receive the same educational rate that they offer to schools.
Bring a home school ID, letter of intent or attendance record to the Lost Sea ticket desk to purchase your tickets at the special Home School Days rate. If you are bringing a group of 15 or more, please call 423-337-6616.

Hamilton Skate: Get your kids up on some wheels at Homeschool Skate. It’s a great way to meet fellow homeschoolers and get in some PE. Time: 2:30 pm-4:30 pm.

Weekly Homeschool Classes & Events
Tennessee Academy of Gymnastics: TAG’s GYMnastics EDucation (better known as GYM ED) program is for Children of Kindergarten age and older. This series of classes has developed thousands of Chattanooga’s athletes. While many GYM ED graduates have gone on to be competitive gymnasts, most have used the attributes learned through the GYM ED program to excel at other sports.
When: Thursdays at 1 pm
Catoosa County Parks & Rec: Explore everything from creepy crawlies to animal burrows. The parks & recreation department offers ongoing classes and weekly one-time events.
Gymnastics Center of Chattanooga: Drop-off and stay and play available for 45 minutes of a structured gymnastics class and 45 minutes of open gym and free play.
Locations: Ooltewah, Hixson & Cleveland (class offerings vary)
Lionhearts Fitness: They offer same community and fitness as the evening classes. Lionhearts is 100% funded by community donations. They are all volunteers, and all services are donation-based. Homeschool fitness is a major part of their mission.
