Longwood Gardens is a beautiful sight at any time of the year, but it is especially breathtaking at Christmas time. Twinkling lights as far as the eye can see, fountains dancing to holiday tunes and a family carol sing-a-long. This is a must-do holiday season activity for the whole family.

We took three generations to this gorgeous Christmas garden display. We all loved the stunning trees, train display and candy-stacked tree.

The children’s garden is such a cool spot for little ones too. They get to explore fun nooks and crannies and splash around in the waterfalls and fountains.

Little tummies started rumbling, so we had to make a pit stop at the onsite cafe. While pricey, it had lots of options for the whole family. Stick to the soup and pre-packaged sandwiches to avoid an expensive family meal.

Just before sundown, we hiked to the top of the treehouse and peeked out over the holiday splendor. My kiddos are already asking for a treehouse of their own. Should I add it to the honey-do list?

One random element that I appreciated was the employee that stood near the photo op spot. He was so kind and willing to take photos for families that wanted to capture the moment.

If you plan to visit Brandywine Valley sometime soon, be sure to add Longwood Gardens to your itinerary. You won’t regret it.
Thank you, Brandywine Valley CVB for hosting our family. We made wonderful memories together.
