Tiny living. It has been around for a long time, but now, it is a super trendy lifestyle. There are full-time families traveling across the country – loving together, learning together, and living together in really small spaces.
For the rest of us, tiny living is intriguing, exciting, and something we’d love to try once or twice. Tiny Estates in Lancaster, Pennsylvania is the perfect place to try it out. This beautiful tiny house resort offers every kind of tiny living experience you can imagine, and some fantastic amenities for the whole gang to enjoy.
We stayed in The Chairman, a 404 sq ft tiny house that sleeps 5-6 people in two sleeping lofts and a pull-out couch. It is beautifully decorated and offers a fully-equipped kitchen, full bathroom (no tub for bathtime), and a cool dual purpose kitchen island/dining room table. We used our portable highchair for Lady B.
One sleeping loft has a ladder and the other has full-sized stairs. It is a bit of a jump up to the bed. We were able to fit one standard travel pack-n-play next to the kitchen island, the twins slept together on the pull-out couch, and the adults slept in the sleeping lofts. We always struggle to get everyone to sleep in a wide open space, but overall, there was plenty of room for all six of us. 
The resort is in a residential area, and it sits right on a fully stocked fish pond. The view is gorgeous, and your Littles will love the ducks that visit each day. You can also fish off of the small pier. 
Tiny Estates is close to lots of family-friendly activities. We visited the Strasburg Railroad, and our kids were so excited to ride on a “real Thomas” for the first time. It was quite an event to watch the 1906 steam engine couple with the First Class Parlor car where we were sitting. We all enjoyed the fruit & cheese plate, pretzels, and chocolate chip cookies as the town of Paradise, Pennsylvania passed us by. 
That evening, we visited Miller’s Smorgasbord. It was delicious! The impressive spread had something for everyone in the family, even my picky toddlers. They especially loved picking out their own “chocate” deserts. It was the highlight of the evening.
When you head back to the resort, be sure to check out the propane and wood-burning fire pits, hot tubs, and family games.
