Our new RV travel life is amazing, and we are having the best time exploring campgrounds in our area. Wilderness Presidential Resort in Spotsylvania Courthouse, Virginia invited us to visit their family-friendly campground.
The resort is right off of the main road, so you won’t have any problems getting your area in and around the area. Don’t have an RV? You can rent one, or a log cabin, lakeside cabin or tent site.
This gorgeous resort has everything for the perfect family getaway. Upon arrival, you’ll receive a calendar of events for your stay and a map of the huge resort. We usually try to relax on our first day to give the kids time to recuperate from our travel day, and Wilderness Presidential Resort had tons of family activities on site. We enjoyed mid-morning craft time making paint-your-own camp bags.
On our rainy days, we ran around the big open gymnasium kicking soccer balls and playing air hockey. We stopped by the indoor pool and splashed around in the warm water. We also threw on our raincoats, jumped in puddles, and honked at the local flock of geese.
On the beautiful sunny days, we played on all six playgrounds, ate out on the sun-drenched deck of the Red Barn Grill, and slipped down the poolside waterslides.
In the evenings, we all ran around catching fireflies, roasting marshmallows, or snuggled together to watch a movie in the Treetop Lounge. We had a great set up for the week!
There are some areas of the campground that are quieter than others, so be sure to ask for the best spot when you make your reservation.
We only scratched the surface of all the family-friendly fun Wilderness Presidential Resort has to offer. You can rent a paddle or Jon boat, play mini golf, bounce around in a knockerball, or climb around in Adventure Park.
We had such a great time at the resort, and we hope your family will too.
We’d like to thank Wilderness Presidential Resort for hosting our family.
