Today, we went to Eagletree Farm & Vineyard in Leesburg, VA for their annual pick-your-own blueberries event. It is such a beautiful property and the perfect toddler-friendly place to let your little ones run around and pick some super yummy blueberries. There are rows and rows of blueberry bushes to choose from, toddler-sized baskets for everyone and the perfect trees for your Littles to climb.
The blueberries are $6.00 per pound. There is a large field open for picking, but it isn’t shaded at all. Beware of the melting meltdown…come on, we’ve all been there. Also, I always take our all-terrain wagon to places like this because we never know if our stroller will work. It holds all of our stuff, and occasionally, a very tired toddler or two.
My daughter was very serious about her blueberry picking. She picked each berry one by one and carefully placed them in her little basket. My son picked a bunch then flung them around like it was his job. I ended up crawling around picking them all up. The things we do.
The signs directing visitors to the farm are very tiny, so be sure to plug the address into your GPS.
