We spent ten days at the PA Dutch Country RV Resort, and my family enjoyed our stay. This resort is part of the Thousand Trails network, and we stayed for free with our annual camping pass. We parked our 40-foot fifth wheel in the B section of the campground, and we had room for our rig and two vehicles.
Our site was in a beautiful wooded area, and we all enjoyed exploring the woods (until my son got poison sumac – watch out!). The kids found frogs, salamanders, a chipmunk and a ton of cool bugs during our visit.
The big campground has a pool, on-site store, mini-golf course, playground, basketball court, large laundry room, and central location for tons of Lancaster County fun.
We had service on both Verizon and AT&T (my husband was able to video chat for work without issue). He worked from the office area where there are an on-site kitchen and living room. He had the space to himself during our stay.
The paved roads around the campground are perfect for bike riding and sunset walks as a family. One major downside, the nearby shooting range was incredibly annoying. The noise doesn’t stop until around 8 PM every night. We got used to it, but it was the main reason we’ll probably choose another Thousand Trails campground in Pennsylvania over this one next time.
While we were there, we visited Cherry Crest Adventure Farm, and we went rock climbing with Adventure Explorations. Our favorite hike was on the White Rocks Trail in Boiling Springs.
