I’d love to say that I want to take my kids everywhere just to have fun, but I’m a homeschool and worldschool mom, so I always have ulterior motives. The challenge is, if it isn’t fun, they’re not interested.
We’re heading out on our first official road trips next month (Pennsylvania and Tennessee), and I wanted to find a way to help the kids learn about where we’re going. I started with a felt map of the United States (gotta love the Target dollar section!), but it just wasn’t cutting it. Then, I found the Orboot, an augmented reality globe that syncs with an interactive app for all the learning fun.
We do our best to limit screen time in our house, but I’m happy to make an exception for an awesome learning tool. This globe from Playshifu does so many awesome things, but my favorite part is it teaches Littles about cultures, monuments, food, animals and maps of countries from around the world.
My kids can’t get enough of all the underwater life, and I know it will be such a fun preschool tool this coming year!
Each Orboot globe comes with a passport, stickers from around the world, and a visa stamp for all the places you’ve visited. Of course, we were pretty stoked to add the Brazil sticker to our passport. For those of you that are new to our blog, my husband was born and raised in Brazil.
This is a great way to get the whole family involved in your trip planning and learning fun!
